Live report…Capt Eric is on a full day Cobia trip, and they have had action all day, including this stud! Give us a call, we have dates open on both boats over the holiday week. 757-620-6397.
Well our new girl spent the past couple days on the hill getting ready, and to have her official name change. The LeGrande Slam II is a 33ft Bertram, which has been repowered with 2007 330hp cummins diesels. She provides a nice cruise at 25kts, and the best ride in her class. This boat is nimble enough to fish competitively in the bay, but it also provides an incredible offshore fishing platform. Have no fear, the Judge is not going anywhere, and will continue to slay fish in the nearshore waters. We are excited to have more options, and comfort for our customers. Give us a call to get on the action, we have you covered from the inlet to the deep. 757-620-6397.
While we were bringing home the new boat, Capt Eric had another great inshore trip on the LeGrande Slam. They caught big blues, spadefish, and a huge shark. They hooked this shark on a big hunk of tuna around 1pm, and fought it for almost two hours. People always ask if there are sharks in the bay, well here you go. ThIs was an over 9ft dusky shark, which earned our angler a Virginia release citation. Hopefully these things aren’t following the tuna boats home, this is the same type of shark that we have been battling on the tuna grounds. Give us a call to get in on the action 757-620-6397.
Here we go, LeGrande Slam II is in route to Va Beach.
The fishing was very slow for most of the fleet in the Va Beach Tuna Tournament today, but we did scrap out 5 yellowfin and some mahi. Unfortunately, our fish weren’t big enough to make the leaderboard. It was great to have our families come to the weigh in at Marina Shores. I think it is safe to say that we will soon have a couple mates in training. Capt Eric will be back on the inshore scene tomorrow, and Capt Daniel and Keith are going to pick up a new addition to the LeGrande Slam fleet. Stay tuned….we are pumped.
It has been and awesome week for our anglers, from experts to first timers. We have such and amazing fishery in the Chesapeake Bay, you never know what you will catch. This week brought incredible action from big red drum, Cobia, sharks, spadefish, triggerfish, and flounder. If you are a local, or in town for vacation, we would love to have your group on board. Give us a call 757-620-6397
We love days that start off like this. Happy Fathers Day!!! Especially to our dad Wayne LeGrande, who took the time to teach us how to become great fisherman.
Capt. Eric had another great trip today, and I think that it is safe to say that these youngsters are hooked!! A mess of spades, triggerfish, sharks, and a battle with a big stud Cobia. Unfortunately, the Cobia won this time around. Give us a call 757-620-6397.
