Had a blast fishing the Virginia Beach Tuna tournament this year, ended up 10th over all and 2nd in the small boat division, thanks again to Bob and crew for putting on such a great event, can’t wait to do it again next year!!
Yesterday, we fished in the Virginia Beach Tuna Tournament. This is a first class tournament, that we look forward to year after year. We did not get not get a bigeye bite, but we did manage to catch two solid yellowfin, a couple of whites and a few mahi. Unfortunately, we pulled off a couple of tuna that would have put us closer to the top of the leader board. We still have a chance at placing in the 30ft and under division. So far we are 7th out of almost 70 boats that fished yesterday. Congratulations to all of our friends that are currently leading. We will be back in the bay fishing tomorrow.
We had a very enjoyable day on the water with one of our favorite groups. Last year Barb caught her first Cobia, and today she caught her biggest. The weather was perfect, and the fish finally cooperated in the fourth quarter. We ended the day with 4 Cobia, and unfortunately pulled off a monster. There has been a great showing if fish this week, and we are looking forward to a great summer. Give us a call.
Last week we were able to slip out for some tuna fishing. We had a great day catching 7 out of 15 bites. Given the number of Cobia we saw on a quick outing Saturday, it is going to be another banner year. We are looking forward to chasing the Cobia and reds again this weekend. If you would like to get in on the action, give us a call. We only have a few weekend dates left.
